Benjamin puts people into orbit in the financial galaxy

A job in a bank, it's not dynamic enough, and the people are boring. And what's the point, anyway? Is that what you think too? What if you looked beyond these preconceptions and discovered our jobs through the eyes of our colleagues? Meet Benjamin. He's a Financial Galaxy Guide. At least, that's how he sees himself.

You see yourself as a Guide to the Financial Galaxy? Why.

The banking world is so vast and varied that it needs a guide to help people find their way. My mission is simple: to respond instantly to people's questions and unblock them quickly if they encounter a difficulty. I put them into orbit, in a way.

And how do you make a difference on a daily basis?

I try to make people's lives easier, whatever their question or need. It could be a student who's lost their card, a family on holiday abroad who wants to take out accident insurance, or a young couple who wants to buy their first car. In short, there are as many cases as there are customers. Plus, every day is very different from the last, and I love that! I'm happy when, at the end of a conversation, I've been able to provide a solution and get a smile.

What qualities do you think are important for this job?

It's primarily a people-facing job: the people who call me have a question or a problem to solve. So, you need to be very empathetic and put yourself in the person's shoes. A good knowledge of financial products and services is a plus, but not essential. It's something I've learned, among other things, through training and the support of my colleagues.
