A permanent contract with on-the-job training with the number one Belgian bank. Working in an enthusiastic team fully committed to satisfied clients and colleagues. Does that sound like something for you? Julie and Glenn from BNP Paribas Fortis will tell you all about the brand-new traineeship in their team: the Client Service Center.
“The Client Service Center is the bank’s response to changing consumer expectations”, Glenn explains. "Digitalisation has accelerated the pace of service provision enormously. Are you ordering shoes online? You'll already have them tomorrow. Have a question? You can use chat to send them directly to an employee".
"As a bank, we also want to make life easier for our clients. And so the Client Service Center ensures that they are assisted as soon as possible by someone with the right expertise, even if they have very complex questions." The Client Service Center is now looking for 10 new colleagues to strengthen its ranks. And to give young talent every opportunity, it is offering these vacancies in the form of a traineeship.
“This traineeship means that you get a permanent contract with the bank and four different missions the first year”, says Julie, who, just like Glenn, herself started as a trainee at the bank six years ago. "After an orientation phase, you will spend three months in three different Client Service Center teams. Not only will you discover what you're good at and what you like to do, but you'll also be building up a broad network."
“For me, such a traineeship was the perfect kick-start to my career", confirms Glenn. "When I'd first graduated, I had a lot of interests and I didn't want to tie myself down to a particular job straight away. As a trainee, I had the opportunity to try out different things and only had to make a decision at the end of the programme. You won't find any job with as much variety as in a traineeship; I'd swear to it".
Your first job is quite a challenge. But at BNP Paribas Fortis, you are not alone. "For one year, you will receive training on fixed training days and personal coaching by a mentor. That way, you'll learn how to make the grade in a very short space of time", says Glenn. "In addition, you can always count on the support of your colleagues and your manager. Because in our bank we really have an open corporate culture, where we give each other constructive feedback and share our knowledge and experience".
“BNP Paribas Fortis also has a very tight-knit trainee community”, adds Julie enthusiastically. "We not only help each other in terms of work, but also have a lot of fun together. And that's also important to me, that there's a nice atmosphere at work. I've already gained some lifelong friendships from it."
Getting the space to get to know yourself and grow, both professionally and personally, that's also Positive Banking. Find out more about the traineeship programme at the BNP Paribas Fortis Client Service Center in this video. Ready to jump in? Apply here.
