With you

Our country is going through difficult times, but an incredible sense of solidarity is emerging. We want to join the effort to support our clients, families and entrepreneurs affected by the floods, wherever we can. The Red Cross, which is doing essential work in these difficult times, can also count on the support of the entire BNP Paribas group.

Make a claim on your Top Habitation insurance policy

Make your claim online

Unfortunately, the exceptional weather conditions are leading to a high volume of claims. Our claims handlers will do their best to deal with your request within a reasonable timeframe. Due to a high volume of calls, it will be particularly difficult to make your claim by phone, so we recommend that you do so online.

Thank you for your understanding and patience.

Have you made a claim? How can you track it?

  1. You make your claim.
  2. You receive confirmation.
  3. Your claims manager (TeleClaims) will follow up on your request and keep you informed. Of course, you can also contact your BNP Paribas Fortis advisor.

Your home has been affected by the floods: what should you do?

Heavy rainfall, a river breaking its banks, sewers overflowing... A flood can be devastating for your home and its contents.

If your home, furniture and other belongings are insured, your fire insurance policy automatically covers damage caused by this type of natural disaster. Your Top Habitation policy will reimburse you for damage to your home and its contents, as well as for cleaning costs.

You won't have to wait for the government to recognise the flood as a disaster or apply to the Disaster Fund.

Has your home been damaged? We're here to help

If you have a Top Habitation policy, we'll take immediate action in the event of a claim. We'll act as soon as you report the damage.

  • Depending on the severity of the situation, an expert will come to assess the damage. They will also provide you with advice on how to minimise the damage.
  • If you wish, your insurer will arrange for your home and personal belongings to be secured and guarded to prevent theft.
