This work accident insurance policy* protects your staff in the event of an accident at work or while travelling to or from work. It covers medical expenses, as well as paying out in the event of permanent disability or death.

Work accident insurance

Mandatory work accident insurance covers the payment of a daily allowance in the event of a person being unable to work.

Medical expenses are also covered: medication, hospital fees, prosthetics and other fees.

In the event of permanent disability, the victim is entitled to a regular income based on the degree of disability and their salary. In the event of death, the family receives a regular income and funeral expenses are covered.

Up to 10 staff members

Do you employ up to 10 people? In that case, you pay a premium per person based on their working hours. You benefit from a 50% reduction for people who work part-time (80% or less).

More than 10 staff members?

Your policy is analysed by specialists to ensure that you get from the best rate based on your business, staff, gross salaries and claims statistics.

Automatically adjusted premiums

Is your workforce increasing or decreasing? No need to worry: your premium is automatically adjusted each year based on Banque Carrefour data.

Work accident insurance covers
  • accidents at work or while travelling to or from work for all employees, trainees, apprentices etc.

  • medical expenses, hospitalisation, medication, orthopaedic devices and prosthetics in the event of an accident, a daily allowance in the event of an inability to work, a regular income in the event of permanent disability, and funeral expenses in the event of death.

The Work Accident+ Pack covers
  • repatriation costs from abroad for you as a business leader, as well as the cost of a doctor to monitor staff absences 

  • any temporary inability to work for you as a business leader and a lump sum for your family in the event of your death

The main exclusions

What work accident insurance does not cover
  • exclusions provided for by the Belgian act of 10 April 1971 on work accidents are applicable.
    Example: an accident where, at the time the policy was entered into, information was intentionally concealed or inaccurate in such a way as to affect the risk assessment

  • intentionally caused accidents

What the Work Accident+ Pack does not cover
  • fines and checks on staff absences abroad

  • accidents involving the business leader that are intentionally caused or that occur when they are under the influence of alcohol or in a similar state

  • accidents during a cycling competition, winter sports, combat or defence sports, motor sports or air sports
