Anyone can make the declaration online, the declarant does not necessarily have to be an heir of the deceased. However, they will absolutely need to provide the death certificate.

Once the online declaration has been communicated, you will receive a summary of the declaration.

After the succession service has taken charge of the file, a letter will be sent to the contact person, the surviving spouse or to the deceased's address with specific information about the succession, as well as contact details.
