Scope of your protection
What does the Mastercard World Elite include?
Travel insurance: the Mastercard World Elite includes trip cancellation and baggage insurance that covers:
illness, accident, death, dismissal or significant material damage suffered by the insured, up to a maximum of 20,000 euros per trip
baggage delay, loss, theft or destruction, up to a maximum of 1,500 euros
Travel assistance: the Mastercard World Elite offers you and your vehicle (including a bicycle) assistance during a trip that includes:
medical expense coverage without limit
repatriation
technical assistance for two vehicles and the provision of a replacement vehicle for up to five days after a technical incident in Europe (also in Belgium)
technical assistance for bicycles (electric) in Belgium and up to 30 km beyond the border
Purchase protection insurance: you purchased an item with your Mastercard World Elite? It is covered by specific insurance:
guarantee in case of theft or accidental damage to the purchased item, within 120 days from the date of purchase or delivery.
Online purchase insurance: the Mastercard World Elite includes insurance that allows you to pay with peace of mind online:
online purchase guarantee in case of non-delivery within 90 days of purchase or delivery of non-conforming or defective goods.
What is not covered by the Mastercard World Elite?
Travel insurance
trip cancellation insurance: business and commercial trips, tour operator bankruptcy, accidents during sports competitions, mountaineering, caving, speed contests
baggage insurance: coins, banknotes, cheques, securities, transport tickets, except for airline tickets issued by a recognised airline
travel assistance: during a trip, aesthetic or medical interventions or pregnancy (except in case of unforeseen complications), as well as glasses, prosthetics and medical devices
Purchase protection insurance
simple loss or disappearance of the item purchased with the Mastercard World Elite
Online purchase insurance
non-delivery of the item purchased online with the Mastercard World Elite, in case of postal or delivery service strike.

The Mastercard Insurance, included in the Mastercard World Elite credit card issued by BNP Paribas Fortis, is a Belgian collective insurance policy subscribed by BNP Paribas Fortis, the policyholder, with AG, the insurer. The cardholder's membership in this insurance policy is automatic. It ends in case of non-renewal of the insured credit card, cancellation of the card or termination of the collective insurance contract, for any reason. Once the membership is closed, the coverage also ends, including for goods that you had already paid for with the card.

- Medical certificate (completed by a doctor), with a standard medical certificate specifying the nature of the illness
