Grants and public subsidies

Businesses:

• deferment of tax payments, VAT, and professional withholding tax

Self-employed individuals:

• deferment, reduction, and even exemption from social security contributions
• bridging right : 1,291.69 euros without family dependents or 1,614.10 euros with family dependents (cumulative with the coronavirus disruption allowance) 

• A range of economic measures from SOWALFIN, SRIW, and SOGEPA.
• Closed establishment allowance: Indemnity of 3,000 euros to 9,000 euros based on the size of the business in terms of full-time equivalents (applications to be submitted by 15 December, and follow-up on www.1890.be).
• Revenue loss allowance: Eligible businesses that can prove a 40% decrease in turnover during the 3rd quarter of 2020 compared to the 3rd quarter of 2019. Indemnity of 3,000 euros to 40,000 euros based on the loss of turnover and the size of the business in terms of full-time equivalents (applications to be submitted by 15 December, and follow-up on www.1890.be).

• 100 million euros in credit via Participatiemaatschappij Vlaanderen (PMV).
• Commercial rental loan from PMV for up to 4 months’ rent (applications to be submitted by 1 March 2021).
• For farmers and horticulturists: VLIF-waarborgregeling. Up to 80% of the loan amount, for businesses with a gross income of at least 40,000 euros per manager.

• 20 million euros of loans via the Brussels Guarantee Fund. 
• Covid-19 allowance - Hotels and Apart-Hotels: Up to 200,000 euros per (apart-)hotel and 800,000 euros per business (applications to be submitted by 13 November).
• Covid-19 allowance - Events: Events in the nightlife, tourism and culture sectors. Allowance between 3,000 euros and 9,000 euros (applications to be submitted between 4 November and 4 December).
• Covid-19 allowance - Cultural Sector: Allowance of 4,000 euros (applications to be submitted between 4 November and 23 November).
• Covid-19 allowance for Restaurants and Cafes: Allowance of 3,000 euros per establishment (applications to be submitted by 4 December 2020 at the latest).
