* Business buildings and contents legal expenses insurance is an optional add-on to the Belgian-law buildings and contents fire insurance policy distributed by BNP Paribas Fortis.
The policy is valid for 1 year, at the end of which it will be renewed by tacit agreement for the same period.
Have your business premises been damaged by a third party – for example, after work done by a neighbour? Have you suffered damage and do you disagree with the proposed compensation? Extended cover
Lawyers' fees, investigation fees, expert witness fees and court fees? They’re all covered, whether the matter is settled out of court or decided by a judge, up to a limit of €50,000.
Helping you get compensation
Has your building been accidentally damaged, but the party responsible is insolvent? Your policy can step in and pay up to €15,000 in compensation.
Use the lawyer of your choice
Do you need a lawyer to defend your interests? You can choose one yourself: their fees are covered by your legal expenses insurance.
Advance on compensation
Has a third party been held responsible for the damage you’ve suffered? Has the amount of the compensation has been determined, but payment has been delayed? Providis can advance up to €20,000 on this amount.
