Loan to finance solar panels (instalment loan)

Warning: borrowing money also costs money.

Make your home more energy-efficient

There are many ways to make your home more eco-friendly. Solar panels, which produce heat and electricity, are one of the solutions.

The benefits of a less energy-intensive home

An eco-friendly construction or renovation minimises the use of fossil fuels for heating and lighting. This is good for your wallet – lower energy bills – and for the environment – reduced CO2 emissions. Additionally, it can lead to a more efficient PEB certificate, increased property value, and improved comfort.

To achieve this, there are multiple solutions: double glazing, insulation of the floor, roof, and walls, pellet stove, condensing boiler, solar water heater, heat pump, thermostatic valves, green roof, solar panels...

Reduce your energy bill with solar panels

A solar panel is a device that uses renewable energy. It can be thermal or photovoltaic. In the first case, it converts solar energy into heat, and in the second, into electricity.

The benefits of solar panels

  • Your electricity bill will decrease significantly. Even more so if you use your appliances during the day – when there is sunlight – and if you have solar panels equipped with batteries, allowing you to benefit from them even when it's dark or in winter. Furthermore, you will improve your property's PEB score through self-consumption.
  • Solar panels or photovoltaic panels are easy to install. Make sure to check that your roof is well-insulated and suitable for panels.
  • You don't need a building permit.
  • You can benefit from regional premiums and subsidies.

Financing solutions for solar panels

For energy-saving renovations, including your solar panels, you have two financing options:

  • If you allocate at least 75% of the borrowed amount to energy-saving works, you can benefit from the Energy Loan (instalment loan) and its attractive interest rate.
  • If you already have a mortgage loan, you can, under certain conditions, take out a re-advance, i.e., re-borrow the amount already repaid on your loan.
