Pay online, securely

With the Bancontact-Visa debit card, you can pay securely in shops worldwide, also via contactless, and online:

  • for contactless payments, your PIN is required if you make a purchase over €50 or over €100 of consecutive payments
  • in European online stores, you need to identify yourself using your PIN, card reader or fingerprint
  • on non-European websites, you need to enter your card number and CVV code

Pay online easily

The three-digit CVV code on the back of your card means that the card is accepted in more online shops. You can use your debit card even if Visa is only mentioned in the "credit cards" section of the store’s payment methods.

Thanks to Easy Banking App’s "scan" feature, you can reimburse your friends, make online purchases and pay your doctor, easily and securely. Scan the QR code with your smartphone, confirm and it's done!

Pay with a payment app

You can easily add your debit card to Apple Pay, Google Pay, Fitbit Pay or Garmin Pay: just scan the back of your card. Nothing could be easier! You can then pay with your smartphone or smart watch.

Tips to avoid fraud

  • never share your PIN with anyone and don’t write it down anywhere
  • never lend your debit card to someone else, and never send it by post
  • remember that your bank will never ask for confidential information
  • never respond to suspicious emails or text messages
  • forward any suspicious emails to phishing@bnpparibasfortis.com.

Defective, lost or stolen debit card? Call Card Stop

  • call Card Stop on 078 170 170 (available 24/7) to block your card
  • your card will be replaced automatically
  • if your card has been stolen, report it to the police within 24 hours

Block and/or replace your debit card via Easy Banking App

Lost, stolen or defective debit card? Order a new one via your Easy Banking App, wherever and whenever you want.

  1. Log in to Easy Banking App.
  2. Click on 'My services', then on 'Cards' and select the debit card that you want to replace.
  3. Click ' Block permanently or replace’.
  4. State whether the card is defective, lost or stolen, or if you think it has been used fraudulently*.
  5. Confirm the block, your address and that you want to replace the card.
  6. Choose and confirm the PIN of your new card.

* A damaged card will not be blocked until you have received the new card. In the event of fraud, block your card immediately via the app and contact the Easy Banking Centre, which will investigate the fraudulent transactions and help you replace the card.
