From seven years old on Easy Banking Web, and from 12 years old on Easy Banking App, your child can learn how to better manage their budget. They can carry out simple transactions wherever and whenever they want, from their computer, smartphone or tablet.

Of course, it's up to you. With their payment account for young people, you can authorise them to use online and/or mobile banking via your Easy Banking App and Easy Banking Web. We guide you step by step.

Authorised transactions

Your child can:

  • check their balance
  • make transfers in euros to a third-party account
  • make transfers in euros to their savings account
  • make and receive payments with Bancontact

Unauthorised transactions

Your child cannot:

  • go into overdraft
  • make transfers of more than €625 per day and €1,250 per week from their payment account to third-party accounts
  • make transfers in euros from their savings account to their payment account*

You remain in control

Via Easy Banking App and Easy Banking Web you can**:

  • monitor your child's banking transactions
  • temporarily block their access if they don’t use the tools correctly

They learn to manage their money

With Easy Banking App and Easy Banking Web, you teach your child to take responsibility by helping them acquire good habits:

  • check their balance before making a decision
  • manage their pocket money
  • save

* Your child cannot make transfers in euros from their savings account to their payment account before they come of age.
** Until they are 18 years old.

How to give them access to the app?

To use the app, which is available on Google Play or in the App Store, your child needs an Easy Banking Web contract* (included with the free young person's payment account) and your prior consent.

In your Easy Banking Web

  1. Log in.
  2. Click on "Settings", then select "Children".
  3. Select your child's name.
  4. Tick "Easy Banking App" or "Easy Banking Web + App" and confirm your consent.

With your Easy Banking App

  1. Log in.
  2. Click on "Settings", then select "Children's access".
  3. Click on "Authorise Easy Banking App" or "Authorise Easy Banking Web and App" below your child's first name and confirm your consent.

It's your turn! Open your app and give your consent.

* If your child does not yet have an Easy Banking Web contract, you can activate their access at the same time as you give your consent to use Easy Banking App.

From 16 years old, if your child has Easy Banking services, they can create their itsme® account via the bank and use it to log in to Easy Banking Web and confirm euro transfers.

Legal information

Easy Banking App is available free of charge to all customers aged 12 and over who have an Easy Banking Web contract (available from age seven) and a debit card. BNP Paribas Fortis SA, Montagne du Parc 3, 1000 Brussels.
