* Construction liability insurance is a Belgian-law liability insurance policy distributed by BNP Paribas Fortis. The policy term is one or three years, at the end of which it will be renewed by tacit agreement for the same period.
When you work, you could cause damage at any time. If you’re liable, you’ll have to compensate the victim, and the bill can quickly become very large.
Fortunately, construction liability insurance* protects your finances from this danger. It takes care of any compensation for damage where you or the people who work for you are at fault.
Liability cover specially designed for the construction sector
With three types of liability cover tailored to the construction sector and large sums insured, you can work with complete peace of mind!
Operational liability
Operational liability insurance covers extra-contractual liability. It pays out in the event that harm is caused to third parties by you or your staff.
Tailored to the construction sector
The cover is specifically designed for the construction industry: damage to cables and pipes, damage caused by demolition or excavation work, hot work etc.
A wide variety of situations
Damage to your staff's vehicles, damage following a fire or pollution incident, theft committed by a staff member... If you’re liable, then operational liability cover protects you!
Property in care, custody and control
Have you damaged a tool that you’re renting? Have you damaged property entrusted to you for the purposes of your work? Property in care, custody and control insurance covers the cost of the damages.
Post-completion
If damage occurs after you’ve delivered the goods or completed your work, post-completion insurance covers your contractual and extra-contractual liability for the damage.
High sums insured
With high basic sums insured suited to the construction sector, you benefit from optimal protection. You can also adjust the sum insured if you wish.
You’re working on a roof, and a tile falls on a passing vehicle. The damage to the vehicle and the injury to the driver will be covered by operational liability insurance.
Welding, grinding or cutting that produces sparks, roofing work with a blowtorch... Our construction liability insurance* covers damage caused by hot work.
You’ve damaged tiles with sealant at a customer's home. Property in care, custody and control insurance will take care of the compensation.
Unbeknownst to you, you crack a pipe during excavation work. Later, the crack expands and causes water damage. This will be covered by post-completion insurance.
