DAILY BANKING

Getting invoices paid by direct debit

Would you like greater transparency when managing your incoming payments? With direct debits, your outstanding invoices are paid automatically. All you need to do is sign a direct debit agreement with us and obtain an instruction from your customer. When a payment is about to become due, we send a debit order to the customer’s bank, and your invoice is paid on the due date.

Why choose direct debit?

  • Simplify your admin by outsourcing all your payment collection work to us.
  • You receive the amount you’re owed on the due date.
  • Get paid as you wish, through one-off or regular debits.
  • You know exactly when the money’s credited to your account.

Direct debit instructions in detail

How does a direct debit instruction work?

The instruction is a central element of a direct debit. Once signed by your customer, it authorises you to make one-off or regular debits from the customer’s account. You can be sure that the money will always be in your account on time, when you want it.

How do you receive payment?

Do you have a direct debit agreement with us and a signed instruction from your customer? Then you can start taking payments now: it's easy with Easy Banking Business or Isabel. After you’ve received payment, you can easily check the amounts credited to your account. You'll have a complete overview from the start.

For your European customers too

Do you have customers in Europe? If so, that’s great, because direct debits also work outside Belgium. Get your invoices paid easily in all SEPA countries, including all EU member states as well as Andorra, Iceland, Liechtenstein, Monaco, Norway, the United Kingdom, San Marino, Switzerland and the Vatican. Receiving payment for your foreign invoices has never been easier.

Business-to-business (B2B) direct debits

Specific arrangements for business payments

To receive payment for invoices issued to business customers, choose a business-to-business solution. You simply need an instruction from your customer, confirmed by their bank. With this kind of direct debit agreement, your customers don’t have an unconditional right to reimbursement like they do with a standard direct debit. Also, you only need to present the debit order one day before the due date. The B2B direct debit agreement is not offered by all banks, so don't miss out!
