Top Electronique is an electronic equipment insurance policy. It is a Belgian-law insurance contract from AG SA, distributed by BNP Paribas Fortis SA.
The policy is valid for 1 year, at the end of which it will be renewed by tacit agreement for the same period, except where it is cancelled at least three months before the renewal date. For a policy taken out or renewed by tacit agreement on or after 1 October 2024, you have until two months before the renewal date to cancel it.
Contracts with a duration of less than one year end on the contractually agreed date, and are not renewed by tacit agreement.
Top Electronique protects all your fixed and portable electronic devices, as well as your data and software.
Comprehensive electronic insurance
This add-on to your fire insurance policy guarantees the continuity of your business in the event of damage to your electronic equipment.
Extended protection
Top Electronique offers comprehensive protection for all your electronic equipment, whether owned or leased, fixed or portable, new or old.
Cover in a wide variety of situations
You are covered in many situations, whether the damage is caused by theft or a minor mishap. You benefit from optimal protection that goes beyond that provided by your fire insurance.
Two contracts, one excess
Top Electronique complements your AG fire insurance policy. If a fire affects your business, you only pay one excess of €250 instead of two for any damage to your building, stock, furniture or electronic equipment.
Customised options
You can protect yourself even more with a reduced excess, help with recovering your data and cover for the additional cost of temporary personnel or replacement equipment.
Worldwide protection
Your equipment is protected worldwide, with a reduced premium if protection is limited to the Benelux region. Fixed equipment is also insured outside your buildings, for example during repair, inspection or transportation.
Limited disruption
After damage has occurred, you can quickly restore your data and reinstall your software. This limits the impact on your customer service and revenue.
Damage caused by fire, explosion, implosion and the consequences of such incidents
Damage caused directly by lightning to the insured equipment or the buildings where the equipment is located
Damage caused by specific kinds of theft, i.e. theft with one or more aggravating circumstances such as the use of violence or weapons, or a night-time break-in
Damage to the internal components of the insured equipment resulting from an external cause (if the cause is internal, the damage is insured provided that the cause is mechanical or electrical)
Certain additional costs, including those related to services provided outside normal working hours, costs of technicians from outside the European Union and costs related to the expedited transportation of equipment and spare parts (up to 50% of the insured amount, with a maximum of €7,500 per claim)
Cleaning and decontamination costs for damaged equipment (up to 10% of the insured amount, with a maximum of €50,000 per claim)
Aesthetic damage that does not prevent your equipment from functioning correctly
Damage caused by wear and tear or gradual or persistent deterioration (corrosion, dust etc.)
Damage due to theft without any sign of a break-in, violence or threats
The above list is not exhaustive. The exact scope of the cover can be found in the standard terms and conditions. To obtain a quote, please contact your advisor or call the Easy Banking Centre on 02 433 43 34.
